Thanks for taking a moment that we might introduce ourselves here at First Baptist.  I'm Matt DeBord, I've been pastor here since 2004 and would like the opportunity to meet you if I haven't already.
 
Planted right in the center of Alabama, we are seeking to have Jesus Christ at the center of our lives.  We invite you to join us as we continue to seek to serve our Lord in a way that will honor Him and be a blessing to our community and beyond.
 
Indeed, Jesus Christ is the very reason we are here!  Most of you have heard His name, and many of you have been to a church where His teachings are presented.  We want to be certain that you have a personal relationship with Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  Be sure to select the menu item "The Gospel," and see what the Bible says about the meaning of life!  We want to provide opportunities for individuals and families just like you to get connected to the only life that has eternal value, Jesus Christ!
 
We would love to have you experience with us the growing excitement that is flowing through our church family.  We are working at building up the Body of Christ so that our families will be strong, our fellowship will be sweet, and our faithfulness will result in God's Name being glorified while we seek to reach a lost and dying world.
