“You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and My servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the LORD; and there is no savior besides Me” (Isaiah 43:10-11).
The Lord has blessed us with the task of being His witnesses. That means, to begin with, that we have the privilege of knowing and believing in our great God and King! Then, we have the joy and responsibility to introduce Him to the world. Certainly, there will be well-known servants like John the Baptist, John the disciple, Billy Graham, etc. But there are many more ordinary people like Andrew who simply go about the business of connecting people with Jesus.
Whereas we know we are missionaries ourselves, planted right here in Chilton County, we have many other missionaries here in Alabama and around the world. We will have opportunity to hear from some of them on February 25-26 during our Chilton Baptist Association’s On Mission Celebration. Please take note of the fair and rally on that Saturday. Then on February 26, we will have a State Missionary, a North American Mission Board Missionary (Nathan Tubbs), a Disaster Relief Missionary, and an International Mission Board Missionary. Don’t miss this time of getting connected with some of what’s going on around the world in relation to our witness for Christ.
